I think you are spot-on. I love it when a "simple party" or "simple love"song has more to it. This one does. There is a good site (depending on the band) to discuss song meanings. I use that a lot.

"Harold and Maude" is my favorite movie.

If you like that one, you should try "My Name is Khan". Very similar type of movie.

Mine is "Little, Big" by John Crowley. The most lovely wording and stories within stories.
